Hangzhou’s monthly foreign trade scale hit a record high in the first half of the year

The foreign trade of Hangzhou started accelerating at the beginning of the “14th Five-Year Plan” in spite of COVID-19 and the complicated, changeable international situation. According to Qianjiang Customs, the total volume of foreign trade reached 345.1 billion yuan in the first half of 2021, increasing by 30.8% compared to last year, which occupies 18% of the total volume of foreign trade of Zhejiang Province. Thereinto, the volume of export trade reached 213.51 billion yuan, increasing by 29.4%, the volume of import trade reached 131.59 billion yuan, increasing by 33.1%, and the favorable balance of trade reached 81.92 billion yuan, increasing by 23.9%. Hangzhou’s foreign trade is growing rapidly and steadily and the monthly foreign trade has created a new high.
