Jilin province improves medical insurance services for chronic diseases

Since July 1, Jilin province has officially completed the improvement of medical insurance services for chronic diseases. The number of provincial-level outpatient identification institutions for chronic diseases has been expanded to 55, the identification process has been greatly simplified, and the benefits of insured individuals have been comprehensively improved.

At present, the insured personnel at the provincial level can apply for chronic disease identification in any designated medical institutions, and a total of 55 provincial-level designated medical institutions for chronic disease treatment are included in the scope of outpatient identification institutions for chronic diseases.

After the identification, insured individuals will be able to choose one designated outpatient medical institution for chronic diseases and one designated retail drugstore. They can change their outpatient clinics and drugstores within the designated scope according to their own conditions, and only need to provide the electronic medical insurance card, ID card or social security card. The number of changes is not limited within the year.

In terms of simplifying the service process, all the designated outpatient medical institutions must strictly fulfill the obligations of chronic disease identification and treatment, and shall not shirk or refuse the insured. The mutual recognition of medical records has been achieved between designated medical institutions to ensure the convenience and quickness of the identification of chronic diseases.
