The gross domestic product (GDP) of Central China’s Hubei Province stood at 2.277769 trillion yuan in the first half of this year (H1) as recovery continues to firm, a year-on-year increase of 28.5 percent based on comparable prices and an increase of 3.7 percent over the same period of 2019, local authorities said on July 16.
During the six months, the added value of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries respectively rose 17.6 percent, 35.9 percent, and 24.7 percent to reach 156.232 billion yuan, 944.567 billion yuan and 1.17697 trillion yuan.
The added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in the province expanded to 164.876 billion yuan, an increase of 17.3 percent year on year and a 8.5-percent growth over the same period of 2019. The total output of summer grain and summer oil was 4.7344 million tons and 2.5178 million tons, respectively, edging up 0.3 percent and 4.4 percent year on year.
