Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province, was on the list of top ten destinations for travel during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday in 2021, according to Ctrip, an online travel booking platform.
236 scenic spots in the province have launched a string of preferential measures. 84 scenic attractions have introduced 171 new projects and new products, and more than 380 scenic spots have organized over 1,500 cultural activities.
Scenic areas in Wuhan, Huangshi and Shiyan have rolled out tourism measures, including free admission or half-price discounts for candidates of college entrance exam and high school entrance exam.
As the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China is approaching, red tourism, which refers to visiting historical sites with a modern revolutionary legacy, stood out as a popular choice in Hubei during the holiday.
