Recently, the “Visit Jiangsu” omnimedia platform, along with the official WeChat and Weibo accounts of Jiangsu, has launched 20 red tourism routes.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the CPC, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism launched 20 red tourist routes and 20 red cultural research projects. These routes and research projects highlighted the red culture, with focus on the four revolutionary spirits, namely, the spirit of Zhou Enlai, the spirit of Yuhua martyrs, the spirit of the Iron Army of the New Fourth Army, and the spirit of the Huaihai Campaign that were nurtured on the land of Jiangsu, so that the party members, officials and the general public could learn about the history and philosophy of the CPC, and draw wisdom and strength from the Party’s extraordinary journey over the past century.
The red tourism routes cover all 13 municipalities across the province, including 122 red tourism scenic spots and patriotism education bases, five key rural tourism villages at all levels, and four national brand enterprises, allowing tourists to fully experience and comprehend the red culture and the achievements made by Jiangsu in poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, and ecological civilization construction in the new era. Given the demands of different tourists, short-distance tours that last for one to two days take up the majority. Meanwhile, these tours enhance education on revolutionary traditions through various interactive projects and promote the development of red tourism.
